SYDNEY BOOGAARD
As an HSP and ENVST major, I had the opportunity to participate in various extracurricular activities and internships. I was a member of the Sustainability Leaderships Committee, an Ambassador for the College of Social and Behavioral Science, and interned with Sustainable Works, Salt Lake City’s Division of Sustainability, and Salt Lake County’s Environmental Health Department.
Each position has given me further direction in reaching my goals and vital knowledge for my future. Through these experiences my passion for social policies and the welfare of our environment has become my number one priority. I cannot wait to see where it leads as I move further along my academic journey and towards my career.
I am grateful for the Health Society & Policy program because of it interdisciplinary structure; it allows its students to find their true vocation and passion. Furthermore, it recognizes that the wellbeing of our societies requires an interdisciplinary approach and the need to pursue all avenues of health.
